Assisted Rehoming
We are now offering assisted rehoming so that we can help your pet get directly into their new home while remaining in your care.
How does assisted rehoming work?
Step 1: Fill out our owner surrender request form at the bottom of this page. We are only able to assist with animals that have been spayed or neutered at this time.
Step 2: A Joseph's Legacy team member will reach out to you to get additional information as well as photos to add to your pets listing
Step 3: Once your pet is listed, the Joseph's Legacy Adoption Team will review applications for your pet as they come in.
Step 4: Once an applicant has been reviewed, a Joseph's Legacy team member will send you information on the applicant so that you can make a decision on your pets placement.
Step 5: Once you've decided on your pet's new home, Joseph's Legacy will send you and the new owner a contract to print for your records, and Joseph's Legacy will collect a donation from the new owner as a rehoming fee.
If you find your pet a new home outside of Joseph's Legacy's Private Rehoming program, please let us know as soon as possible so we can let applicants know and remove your pets listing from our website.
